How to apply for a place at Sunshine
1. Apply at any time of the year
You can apply for a place at Sunshine whenever it suits best for your family. There are no separate application periods, and places may also become available at short notice. We recommend applying as early as possible to help us find the best option for your child.
2. Complete the application form
Fill in the application form on our website and we’ll get in touch with you. The application is not binding.
3. We will contact you promptly
Once we receive your application, the daycare manager will contact you to discuss your family’s needs, your preferred start date and the available options. Our goal is to contact you by phone on the next working day.
4. Visit the daycare
We invite families to visit the daycare before making a decision. During the visit, you can explore the facilities, meet our staff and learn more about daily life at Sunshine.
5. Confirm your place and complete the agreement
When you decide to accept a place, we will prepare a service agreement and agree on the start date. We will also guide you through the service voucher application process.
6. Getting ready for your child’s first days
We will make a plan for a smooth start. We will also arrange a visit for your child to meet their new group and teachers.
Daycare fee and service voucher
Sunshine is a service voucher daycare, which means that the cost of early childhood education and care is subsidised by the municipality.
The total fee consists of the value of a service voucher granted by the municipality and the family’s co-payment (customer fee). Apply for the service voucher through your home municipality before care begins.
The value of the service voucher depends on:
Your family’s income and size
Your child’s age
The agreed care hours
Your home municipality

Estimated monthly daycare fees
The customer fee is your contribution to the cost of early childhood education and care. Fees are invoiced monthly in arrears.
Tampere
In Sunshine Pyynikki, Pyynikki Star, Sorsapuisto, Ranta-Tampella the customer fee per child is between €60 and €395 per month.
In Sunshine Hervanta and Hervantajärvi the customer fee is between €20and € 355 per month.
Espoo
The customer fee per child at the Sunshine Seaside is between €50 and €385 per month.
